These little gems are each scratch built to order by Pierre. 

Here is a little bit about the inspiration and idea behind this

series.  "Many new cars were designed and built using full-

sized,  three-dimensional mock-ups of the car. These mock

ups were usually made in metal or wood and were commonly

known as 'bucks'. These 'bucks' were used to determine the

correct position of the inner structure of the car to enable the

body to be mounted on the chassis. They were also used as

a pattern to make the panels for the body so the fabricators

could weld them in place on the chassis as a full skin."  

Inspired by these mock-ups, Pierre has made a new series of

models called 'Bodybuck' Models. Each model is hand-made

from pieces of fine brass wire and rod that have been

soldered together and formed into the 'bodybuck' which

follows the outline of the car. Each model is only available in a

small series and the range will focus on competition sports

cars that were built using the 'buck' technique. These are

very limited run pieces, and Pierre does not intend to make

many of each.  

There are three choices of finishes available:

Original raw brass. 

Painted Red finish.

Painted Black finish. 

Some models will also be available with a small piece of the

bodywork attached, or other parts as shown on the Barchetta,

which has the radiator grill, headlights, tail-lights, and

'Superleggera' bonnet badges. Each wire frame “Bodybuck”

also comes mounted on a white acrylic display base with a lift

off acrylic cover.
