The photos show the pattern (master model) in its 98%

completed state.  We are now in the final stages of completing

the pattern and preparing it for the very intricate mold making

process.  This is  the most complex and detailed 1:12th scale

kit that has ever been produced.  Needless to say the

extremely limited kits & hand built models will feature an

incredible level of detail which until now has only been available

in scratch built models costing at least 4 times as much. From

the very start of this project the goals we set have remained

constant:

(1) Produce an incredibly detailed historically accurate

large scale ltd. production replica.

(2) Offer the niche of serious model builders and collectors

the type of model kit they have always wished for.

(3) No compromise on quality or detail.

(4) To offer a structured payment plan for those whose

dreams are bigger than their immediate budget.

This is a true multi-media kit whose components are comprised

of two types of polyurethane resin one of which is a specially

formulated high grade type (not what you see in all other kits),

bronze, pewter, machined aluminum, specially processed

photo-etched stainless steel and brass.

A few of the special features are:  all opening panels, complete

wiring, 80+ machined AN fittings, multi piece 3 dimensional

dash gauges, individual air breather ringlets for the seats,

separate cast bolt heads for final crisp detailing, etc.

very limited quantitiy of decals for the 2nd & 3rd place cars will

be produced and available separately.)

We’ve been asked a number of times how many parts are in

the kit.  Well....... since we’re still making the last parts all we

can say is: a lot, and still counting!  The bound instruction

manual will be approximately 50 to 70 pages with an extensive

amount of diagrams (we’re trying to eliminate any guesswork).

In comparison to our previous ltd. edition 1:14th scale kit of the Ferrari 166 Barchetta, the GT-40 is even more detailed (yes, several times more

detailed,  furthering our lunacy here!)
